this blog is for hobby writing — drabbles, poetry, fandom content, etc — so i wouldn't call it a "roleplay blog" so much as a blog with which i'd like to do roleplay.

below is some information that'll hopefully help you get to know me, and what the expectations are for this blog!

✦  HI! I'M MIAH.                                                                                                                                                                                                          
I've been a hobby author for around 13 years now, depending on your definition. Writing is my favorite form of introspection, and one of my favorite ways to explore myself and the world around me from an emotional standpoint. I can't wait to meet and write with you! (by which i mean: please feel free to reach out!)

✦  WRITE FOR FUN.                                                                                                                                                                                                 
I'm a hobbyist, so I try to stick to what I know, and I usually don't push any of my personal boundaries.
As far as what those boundaries are:

  • I follow blogs based on my interests! I don't mind anyone following me, but i also won't follow back pages i know i won't interact with. it's nothing personal!

  • Insert basic DNI here. (don't hate anyone for anything that isn't hurting themself or someone else.) Honestly, if i have an issue with you, i'll either start a discussion with you about that, or block and move on. we're all adults (or we should be; no minors), so it's no big deal.

  • My interests, like anyone's, shift over time! I also sometimes dig up old muses to interact with those whose writing I enjoy. Which is to say: it's hard to predict what I'll want to write on any given day! As far as my muse and activity levels, I'll do my best to use OOC posts to keep everyone up to speed.

✦  I'M A PLOT-FOCUSED AUTHOR.                                                                                                                                                                       
I love worldbuilding, plot-building, and meticulously planning out character dynamics. This applies to both my solo work and social writing!

  • Personally, I'm never more motivated to continue a thread or prompt than when it's been plotted beforehand. I don't mind a little spontaneity, of course! But for longform work, plotting is my best friend.

  • Shipping is fun, too! I'm pretty open to shipping once I've seen some chemistry — whether that chemistry is something discovered mid-thread or during plotting.

✦  I SUPPORT NSFW, BUT ...                                                                                                                                                                                   
I don't write it in public. Sorry!!!

  • When it comes to NSFW, I'm fine with suggestive themes in RP threads, and will likely include these themes in my solo work as well. They're a fact of life, and a super intriguing one at that! But for the sake of my own comfort and privacy, I'd rather not include explicit smut in my public content.

  • I'm totally down to discuss NSFW stuff in IMs or on Discord (ask if we're mutuals)! I only ask that we prioritise clarity in our communication if we're gonna talk Dirty Deeds. It's just to avoid misunderstandings!

  • If you'd like to write something NSFW with me, it'll have to be on Discord for reasons I hope I've already made clear! If we're mutuals already, though, chances are I won't bite. Just ask!

✦  I'M PRETTY FLEXIBLE.                                                                                                                                                                                        
I've written many a style in my day. From first-person text chat rp to paragraphs of novella, I can deliver a lot! Not that this is a ... sales pitch, or anything. I just mean that if there's something I can do to make it more fun to write with me, you can just say so!

  • Normally, I format things in a pretty default way, just to make sure it's legible for myself and my partner(s). I also don't use icons, mostly because I don't enjoy the process of making them or using them in threads.

  • I'm similarly lax about length matching. Be not afraid, I don't one-line! but I also don't believe in unnecessary padding for the sake of "matching length" or anything like that. You shouldn't either, by the way!

✦  I LIKE TO TAG.                                                                                                                                                                                                       
This blog will definitely be home to a lot of different writing-related content, so I've got a lot of methods in mind for tagging and documentation.

  • my itinerary section has a list of my most common tags, with hyperlinks. there should also be a navigation section available on my Tumblr site!

  • I'll be using additional tags to denote things like source material, inspiration, roleplay muses/partners, and et cetera.

  • I'll also use miscellaneous tags for things like jokes, commentary, and triggers! (please lmk if you need something tagged!!!)

ITINERARY.

as i'm sure i've mentioned too many times by now, this blog is intended to be a singular hub for all of my writing pursuits; narrative, poetic, recreational, humorous, and et cetera. that presents a pretty wide scope for my content, so here's a short list of what you can expect:

Narrative writing is my strongest suit as an author. I love writing dialogue, action, and exploration of worlds and dynamics; if you see one thing on this blog, it'll be this. I may write short drabbles here and there, a scene or two, or even longform work depending on my schedule and feelings on a certain matter.✦  POETRY.                                                                                                                                                                                                                
As a songwriter, I'm fairly well versed in poetry (pun intended. sorry). I don't write it often, but from time to time I may post some. I'll be real with you — if it shows up, it's probably vent poetry. Even if you don't think it is. Yeah, I'll probably be yapping now and then. It's my blog, after all, and I'll probably have random things to say on it from time to time. I understand apprehension about OOC spam, though — so I promise to keep it brief, relevant, and relegated to a single tag.

sometimes, my writing is social. roleplay is something i really enjoy, so it'll be a big chunk of what goes on here!
as far as roleplay is concerned, i'm treating this blog as essentially a multimuse. i have quite a few characters that i've written as fan-work for different media, as well as characters for completely original settings — not to mention muses from existing IPs. Check them out below!
